Robot Time-Machine Game

Posted by ted | May 19th, 2008

In this flash game you’re a robot who has to cooperate with his past and future selves in order to escape little 2D puzzles. It’s easier to do things when there are an unlimited number of you — just watch out for paradoxes!

“Marion” short film

Posted by graig | May 16th, 2008

Ry Russo Young’s short film is a nifty reshuffling of the Hitchcock classic "Psycho." Like one of those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books, we encounter three different Marion Cranes, each one awaiting a different fate. If you’re at all like me, it’ll hit you right in your Critical Studies sweet spot. Courtesy of nymag.com .

Three Color Music Video

Posted by jon | May 14th, 2008

Red, white, and black are the only colors music video director Nakamura Motomichi needs. The song is "Laptops & Martinis" by Otto Van Schirach.

Run Wrake’s “Rabbit” Animation

Posted by dave | May 13th, 2008

I caught this at Animation Show last year. Run Wrake is a sick, twisted bastard. His childhood pets probably weren’t alive long.

SPIDER dark comedy short film

Posted by zak | May 12th, 2008

I caught this film at sundance this year and it was probs my favorite thing I saw. The level of directorial control is fantastic. The guy who made it, Nash Edgerton, is not only a stuntman but also stars in it. There’s not a lot for me to say without giving it away, so I’ll leave it at “watch this, if you like your humor dark as the night itself.”

Video Tutorials from Infinite Solutions

Posted by dave | May 12th, 2008

If you want to cheat the world, watch Infinite Solutions. Each episode provides at least one mind-boggling tip explained so simply, even tech-stupid youtubers can understand. Some of them don’t believe the tricks are real, but that video above sure worked for me. I found a wi-fi network in a coal mine!

Another Animated Desktop Movie

Posted by ted | May 11th, 2008

This is sort of like those Animator-versus-Animation videos we saw, but this one isn’t about the desktop fighting back. It’s got more of that Michel Gondry feel.

Webcomic: Parade (with Fireworks)

Posted by dave | May 09th, 2008

This is a webcomic, yes, but it’s actually more of a webgraphicnovel. Fifty-eight pages of death and speaking Italian, free for you and me on the internets. Mike Cavallaro ain’t no sellout.
